                         Il 2 dicembre 1982 se ne andava, a soli 48 anni, il grande comico inglese entrato nella leggenda del cinema come 'Aigor' in [i]Frankenstein Junior[/i]. Eccolo con Gene Wilder nella celebre scena della gobba...

Doveroso omaggio al grande Marty Feldman… che purtroppo qui in Italia viene ormai ricordato quasi esclusivamente come “Igor” ma che, fra le altre cose, coi suoi show radiofonici contribuì al lancio dei futuri Monty Python John Cleese, Michael Palin e Terry Jones…
a me invece ad esempio piacerebbe tantissimo rivedere la serie della ITV Marty… oppure il suo show americano (Marty Feldman’s Comedy Machine) di cui ho vaghi ricordi di quando ero molto piccolo… se non erro infatti diversi dei suoi sketch nei '70 passarono sulla Rai

quando io penso a marty feldman la prima cosa che mi vangono in mente sono i suoi occhi enormi.

Da fan di Buster Keaton molti suoi sketch non erano parlati… ma stranamente in Inghilterra non si trovano moltissime sue cose… cmq su play.com ho trovato un dvd della BBC a lui dedicato: è intitolato the best of Marty Feldman ma dura solamente 65 min.

Feldman was the goggle-eyed clown whose innovative slap-stick helped usher in the anarchic age of Monty Python and sent him to Hollywood stardom alongside Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder.
Penned by the likes of Palin, Cleese, Chapman and Feldman himself, his BBC shows of the late 60s were full of the famous and often controversial sketches (including The Loneliness of the Long-distance Golfer and the Bavarian wine treading dance) that put Feldman’s zany, surreal style on the map.
This collection captures Feldman at his most innovative and is a fitting tribute to a true comic iconoclast.
