Can any of you guys tell me if Carlo Lizzani’s film Banditi a Milano has ever been released on VHS in Italy? I have a very bad copy of this film and would very much like a better copy of it. Can anyone help me out?
The copy I have is, I think, from a TV version? It has an onscreen logo in the corner of the picture that looks like a ‘7’.

I don’t know about the VHS (if they made it, it’s unfindable); everybody is waitin’ for the DVD though.

Banditi a Milano has never had a release of any kind, bar the initial cinema releases. Released in US cinemas as The Violent Four BTW.
No VHS or DVD releases which is a damn shame as it’s a terrific film and surely is well overdue a good DVD release, I’m sure it’ll get the full Special Edition DVD treatment eventually as it’s a well regarded and much sought after film. Gian Maria Volonte is incredible, as usual, my second favorite film featuring him, Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion being my personal favourite.
It pops up on Italian TV every now and then on Italia 7 and La7
Still, a cracking film and worth watching even via the poor quality copies currently in circulation (La7 except).
