I got Michael Mann’s dark and rare tv serie CRIME STORY box last week. I think this serie a strong alternative as a gang story too.

Carlito’s Way
Scarface
Donnie Brasco

In the meantime…I have been watching THE SOPRANOS (so far only the first box), wow, it’s great.

It’s very subtle and different to everything I’ve seen so far. It has became my favorite show together with “The Shield” and “Oz” (completly different, of course).

Best regards,

I’ve seen THE COMPLETE serie “The Sopranos” (all 7 boxes).

Again, wow, what a great serie!

I felt a little sad when it was over, after being able to see all the boxes (it took me about 3-4 months of daily watching), it was like “loosing” someone dear, or selling the house I grew up, or something of the kind.

I know it seems exagerate.

Best regards!

I recommend you to see Le Clan Des Siciliens/Il Clan dei Siciliani (The Sicilian Clan/ Der clan der Sizilianer) by Henri Verneuil, a great movie starring Jean Gabin, Lino Ventura and Alain Delon: probably three among the best actors in French cinema.
It’s a ‘‘pure entertainment’’ movie, nothing like ‘‘The Godfather’’, which is a true masterpiece. But ‘‘The Sicilian Clan’’ has a great cast, a magnificent soundtrack by Ennio Morricone, thrilling action scenes…

Thanks for the tip, I saw it more than 30 years ago, don’t remember anything about it.

Best regards!
