Vista oggi in aereo questa spettacolare commedia australiana, film di debutto di Eric Bana, talmente low budget che:
The shooting schedule was cut from from 20 to 11 days - the number of days the filmmakers could afford to feed the cast and crew.
The family was named Kerrigan so the filmmakers could borrow trucks from an actual tow-truck company, Kerrigan’s Towing.
Umorismo un po’ alla Full Monthy, micidiale, mi veniva da piangere dal troppo ridere. La storia è semplice, un proprietario di casa si oppone ad una grossa azienda che vuole espropriarlo. Attori bravissimi, location da urlo (quando lo vedete capite), sono subito corso ad accattarmi il dvd australiano (lasciate perdere quello R1 su play.com, è tagliato e ridoppiato per togliere alcune volgarità, oltre a non avere i subs). Micidiale, tra le altre, questa battuta:
Darryl Kerrigan: Now here back: all landfill. Not allowed to build there.
Council Officer: Has the soil been tested?
Darryl Kerrigan: Oh yeah, nothing too serious in there… what do you know about lead?
Assolutamente raccomandato.
